Supporting Our Community Through Sport
Yuut Basketball Association (YBA) is a non-profit organization that supports amateur adult basketball related competition. Because we are a registered charity, we are able to provide a safe and healthy social outlet for adults while also conducting fundraising activities that benefit the youth in the Bethel area.
At Yuut Basketball, we believe our children are the future of our communities. Who they are tomorrow is essentially the outcome of how they are raised and nurtured today. As the leading sports organization in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, we go above and beyond to provide our youth an empowering environment where they can fully embrace their identity and gain all the skills they need to be leaders tomorrow.
At YBA, our goal is to shape lives and teach our players the fundamentals of social responsibility, healthy living and cultural acceptance.
ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Impacting Lives Through Basketball Since 2021
YBA promotes local, organized, amateur, indoor basketball to adult men and women in Bethel and surrounding villages
YBA provides opportunities for participants to engage in recreational and competitive basketball through open gym sessions, year-round leagues, and stand-alone tournaments
YBA provides facilities, equipment, and general support for participants to engage in the promotion and participation of basketball
YBA sponsors, hosts and/or participates in events and activities that promote the sport of basketball
YBA supports the youth of Bethel and surrounding villages through sponsorships, hosting, and/or participating in basketball-related events and activities
